CASAS DEL SIGLO XVI HOTEL WEDDING | SANTO DOMINGO LUXURY DESTINATION WEDDING

Makenzie and Oliver, a couple based in Orange County, California, share a passion for travel, dreams, and entrepreneurship. They explore incredible destinations together around the world. For their destination wedding, they selected the Dominican Republic due to Oliver's family roots in the country. Their wedding was inspired by the boutique colonial style of the Casas del Siglo XVI Hotel and the gypsy traveler spirit that resonates with both of them.

This particular destination wedding was an exceptionally unique and enjoyable experience for me. I found a connection with the couple's adventurous spirit and the chosen wedding location. As we walked along the streets of the Zona Colonial after the ceremony, accompanied by the lively rhythms of a "perico ripiao" ensemble, and immersed in the joyful vibe of the guests, savoring "Chimi sandwiches" for late-night snacks, everything felt familiar and evoked a profound sense of belonging.
